Should you pursue a multi-cloud strategy?

The answer as always is, “it depends”, but most likely not. Corey Quinn explains this well in his article, Multi-Cloud is the Worst Practice.

One of the few cases where I’ve seen this make sense is in the case of PagerDuty. Their whole business model relies on informing people when stuff goes down, so if they host on a single cloud provider and that provider goes down, well, that’s a lot of customers who won’t receive their alert notifications.
